Your Ratedeed account allows you to securely manage your contact information, active job contracts, payment methods, and communication preferences across both web and mobile devices.
Whether you are a homeowner hiring local trade professionals or a contractor managing customer leads, keeping your profile details accurate ensures seamless project coordination and timely payout execution.
How to Update Your Personal & Contact Information
- Log in to your Ratedeed account and click your avatar or name in the upper-right navigation menu.
- Select Settings $\rightarrow$ Edit Profile.
- You can review and update the following personal and business details:
- Full Legal Name: Used for verified contract signatures, dispute claims, and official invoice records.
- Primary Phone Number: Used for real-time SMS milestone notifications, appointment updates, and verified two-factor security logins.
- Email Address: Where official receipts, escrow funding confirmations, quote notifications, and tax documents are delivered.
- Profile Photo / Company Logo: Displayed on project chats, public reviews, quote proposals, and search listings.
- Tap Save Changes to immediately sync your profile updates across all active web and mobile app sessions.
Configuring Notification Preferences
Timely communication is essential for home renovation and trade repair projects. Ratedeed provides granular notification controls so you only receive the alerts that matter to you:
- SMS & Text Message Alerts: Receive instant alerts when a pro submits an itemized quote, when milestone funds are deposited into escrow, or when an urgent project chat message arrives.
- Email Receipts & Contracts: Downloadable PDF invoice copies, milestone release confirmations, project change orders, and monthly transaction records.
- Push Notifications (Mobile App): Real-time badges and banner alerts for live chat messages, quote adjustments, and appointment arrival confirmations.
How to Adjust Your Alerts:
- Navigate to Profile $\rightarrow$ Settings $\rightarrow$ Notification Preferences.
- Toggle individual categories on or off according to your communication preferences.
- Choose whether you want marketing digests, product updates, or strictly transactional notifications.
Password Resets & Account Security
Ratedeed protects your financial transactions, project agreements, and personal records using industry-standard AES-256 encryption and multi-factor authentication protocols.
If You Forget Your Password:
- Go to the Login Page and click "Forgot Password?".
- Enter the email address associated with your account and click "Send Reset Link".
- Check your inbox for the secure reset link (valid for 30 minutes) and choose a strong, unique password containing numbers, letters, and symbols.
Top Security Recommendations:
- Use Unique Passwords: Never reuse passwords from other email accounts or online banking services.
- Verify Sender Domains: All official transactional emails originate strictly from
@ratedeed.com. - Never Disclose Auth Codes: Ratedeed support staff will never contact you requesting your password or SMS two-factor verification codes.
- Manage Connected Devices: Regularly log out of shared or public computers after completing project updates.
